If I am honest, the name of the Simply-Knives website is misleading. I do more than knives, and I have a broad interest in different kinds of handcrafting. In addition to knives, I also bookbind small books for taking notes, writing your diary, maintaining a physical guestbook, or turning them into a journal, a beautiful, creative analog method to organize your life.

My books and how they are made
My books are all handmade using techniques that, in some details, even date back to medieval times. I try to incorporate as many traditional steps and materials as possible to provide the unique experience that only true handmade craftsmanship can transport.
These books can not be made in masses and take a lot of time. I put a lot of passion into each one of them. They will hold your ideas, memories, plans, and dreams for a very long time and are sized to be your everyday companion.
All books are hand-sewn, bound, and glued and have a cloth or PU-leather wrapped harcover. All illustrations are created by me and are selected for each book theme individually. The combination of paper used for the book block, illustrations, themes, papers, and covers make each of them unique and personal, just like the writing and illustrations you will put into them.
